Kyrgyzstan to develop early intervention program for children with disabilities

AKIPRESS.COM - Line government agencies have been tasked to develop an early intervention program for children with disabilities. Such decision was made at the meeting held by Deputy Prime Minister Aida Ismailova concerning implementation of provisions on the UN convention on rights of persons with disabilities.
The government agencies will also develop methodology of training of personal assistants of children with disabilities, will work on introduction of psychological trainings for doctors on work with parents having children with disabilities.
Improvement of effective regulations in social services for population, reform of medico-social examination system, introduction of inclusive education and access to infrastructure are among priority tasks for the government, Aida Ismailova said.
