Sooronbai Jeenbekov visits reconstruction site of infectious diseases department in Batken regional hospital

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov visited reconstruction site of the infectious diseases department in Batken regional hospital on August 12, president's press service reported. A 90-bed department will be obtained after reconstruction, which is due by the end of August, Director of State Architecture Agency Urmatbek Kokocharov reported.
More than 116,000 citizens of Batken district and Batken city were served by the hospital's infectious diseases department, which had just 45 beds before.
President Sooronbai Jeenbekov talked to medical workers of the hospital about digitalization which will create better conditions for patients. He asked medics to be actively involved in digitalization process.
Jeenbekov declared that he is well aware of the problems within health care system.
"Kyrgyzstan's Security Council has examined problems of health care system for 1.5 years. We will look through this matter soon. The pandemic showed all the problems," he said.
The President expressed gratitude to doctors and promised that the government will renovate and build more modern hospitals in all regions of the country.
