Village in Kara-Suu district of Osh region locked down over anthrax

AKIPRESS.COM - The quarantine was declared in the village of Toguz-Bulak, Kara-Suu district of Osh region over anthrax, rural municipality governor Kurbanbek Miyashev said.
The village is locked down from August 4 to 18, he said.
Turmush reported about suspected anthrax cases in the village. 8 people were taken to the hospital.
The villagers slaughtered the cow infected with anthrax and divided meat between 288 people.
The test of soil where the cow was slaughtered had positive result for anthrax.
The population of Toguz-Bulak village makes 406 people.
