Kyrgyz Central Election Commission approves standard procedure of biometric voter identification

AKIPRESS.COM - The Central Election Commission endorsed the standard procedure of voter identification on August 3.
The standard procedure was approved with the purpose of implementaiton of the laws requiring biometric identificaiton of voters during elections.
The procedure entails identification of a voter on the basis of unique biometric information - fingerprints and geometry of face - contained in the database.
The procedure sets forth the order of voter identification when voters submit statements to local election commission to change their address or change their information and during voting.
