AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov visited the site of construction of the water supply system in Ak-Bulak village, the president's press service reported.
During a talk with the President villagers expressed concerns about possible stop of construction like that happens in most remote villages. The villagers also told the President they do not have a school and a kindergarten, have problem with land transformation.
"Economic difficulties encountered by the countr due to coronavirus pandemic will not affect implementation of water supply projects," President Jeenbekov promised.
Construction of the water supply system will finish by October 2020.
The project is carried out in cooperation with the World Bank.
It is 25% complete now. The water pipes for 3,700 meters from planned 7,800 meters are laid. 1,800 meters of power transmission lines were stretched, a transformer was installed.
More than 2,000 villagers will get access to potable water upon completion of the project in October.
