Kyrgyzstanis in Canada raise near CDN$11,000 to help Kyrgyzstan's Covid-19 battle

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstanis living in Canada have raised 10,955 Canadian dollars to provide support to Kyrgyzstan's COVID-19 response, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in the United States and Canada said.
Some of raised funds were transferred to charity organizations in Kyrgyzstan for provision of food assistance in Bishkek and Karakol, food assistance for orphanages and poor families.
Oxygen concentrators were purchased for 4,075 Canadian dollars, which were sent to Tyup district hospital of Issyk-Kul region.
The Kyrgyz Association in Alberta raised funds through the online master class on kattama making. The raised 1,700 Canadian dollars will be used for purchase of personal protective equipment and medicines for the regions of Kyrgyzstan.
