Kazakhstan holds preclinical trials of its vaccine against Covid-19

AKIPRESS.COM - The trial of vaccine against coronavirus infection is ongoing successfully, the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan said.
"The Biological Security Research Institute of Kazakhstan has a rich experience in development of vaccines against dangerous infections. It has started developing vaccine since mid-March. For a very short period of time scholars developed the first vaccine," the Ministry said.
WHO registered it as vaccine candidate for preclinical trials on May 15.
The same day trials of vaccines in animals started, including in mices, rats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs.
The results of trials demonstrated that the vaccine candidate meets all WHO and national standards in terms of toxicity, pyrogenicity, allergenicity, immunogenicity, the Ministry of Education and Science underscored.
