ADB finances purchase of lung ventilators and oxygen concentrators for $1.56 million to support Uzbekistan's COVID-19 response

AKIPRESS.COM - 20 oxygen concentrators and 100 lung ventilators purchased by UNICEF from Asian Development Bank's $1.56 million grant to provide support to the Uzbek government in COVID-19 response arrive din Tashkent. The first 100 ventilators arrived in Tashkent on July 17 under 2 contracts signed with Swiss companies for $19.5 million.
The previous batch of laboratory supplies for COVID-19 tests financed from the same grant was handed over to the Agency of Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-Being on June 29.
700 ventilators more will be brought to the country in the next few weeks.
