PM Mamin says Kazakhstan would like to buy Russian coronavirus vaccine among first countries

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan would like to have the opportunity to buy coronavirus vaccine one of first countries, when Russia launches its mass production, Prime Minister Askar Mamin said, Tengrinews.kz reported. Mamin attended the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on July 17 in Minsk, where he met with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Kazakhstan closely monitors trials of coronavirus vaccine in Russia, Mamin said. "We expect when the mass production of vaccine starts, we will be among first countries to buy it to use it among population," Mamin stated.
Russia will continue providing assistance to Kazakhstan in Covid-19 fight, Mishustin said.
"We value friendship and partnership with Kazakhstan. Our joint efforts in fight against coronavirus infection proved a special, I would say, fraternal nature of relations," he added.
The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council attendees in Minsk approved the plan for coronavirus fight in the Union and considered the resolutions on maps of agroindustry development and industrialization of Eurasian Economic Union.
