Foreign nationals may extend registration in Kyrgyzstan within 10 days after emergency situation lifting

AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign nationals staying in Kyrgyzstan may not extend their registration now, State Registration Service Vice Chairman Tilek Jeembayev told a press briefing today while commenting on numerous inquiries received concerning registration of foreign nationals and stateless persons.
According to the resolution of the government of May 19, foreign nationals and stateless persons willing to stay in Kyrgyzstan should extend their registration within 10 working days since abolishment of the emergency situation in the country.
Penalties will not be charged during this 10-day period, Tilek Jeembayev said.
Emergency situation remains in effect in Kyrgyzstan and hence foreign nationals and stateless persons staying in the country do not need to apply to public service centers for extension of registration until the emergency situation is lifted, he said.
