Cholponbaev is supposed to have pneumonia.
The ex-Health Minister was summoned to the State Service for Economic Crimes Combat twice in connection with the probe launched into corruption and lobbying of interests of some pharmaceutical companies.
Kosmosbek Cholponbaev was appointed as Health Minister in April 2018 and was dismissed from this post on April 1, 2020.
