Conscript in Tajikistan swallows 17 stones to escape military service

AKIPRESS.COM - A conscript in Tajikistan swallowed 17 stones to fake illness and be freed from service, Asia-Plus reports with reference to Dushanbe's military court.
The young man was conscribed in November 2019. After a month since conscription, he swallowed 7 stones and was sent to central military hospital of Tajikistan's Ministry of Defense.
A week later, when the soldier still remained at hospital, he swallowed 10 stones more.
As a result, he was found guilty of violation of military duties under the the article 376 of Tajikistan's Criminal Code.
Dushanbe's military court sentenced the soldier to 2 years in prison.
