Kyrgyz authorities do not consider reinstatement of state of emergency

AKIPRESS.COM - Reinstatement of the nation-wide state of emergency is not considered yet, President Sooronbai Jeenbekov said during the virtual meeting of the Security Council today discussing COVID-19 situation.
President Jeenbekov reminded sanitary protocols and quarantine restrictions are mandatory to all citizens and businesses.
"We openly admit the situation is difficult. Victory against coronavirus depends upon fulfillment of duties by every citizen of the country. These duties are simple: following recommendations of medical professionals and observing discipline, helping those who are next to you," the President said.
Special regime of work was introduced earlier in Bishkek. Restrictions were also introduced in Osh in connection with spike in new COVID-19 cases.
