Ex-PM of Mongolia J. Erdenebat sentenced to 6 years in jail

AKIPRESS.COM - Ex-PM of Mongolia and member of Mongolian People's Party Jargaltulgyn Erdenebat run for office from detention facility and won in Selenge district during parliamentary elections on June 24. He was not however freed from detention facility and was brought before trial on July 6.
Court of Sukhbaatar district sentenced the ex-PM to 6 years in prison.
Jargaltulgyn Erdenebat was found guilty of abuse of power, ikon.mn reports.
He was also deprived of the right to be elected for political positions.
He will serve his prison term in the standard regime penal colony.
