Use of gas by 22 residential districts in Bishkek for heating to reduce smog problem

AKIPRESS.COM - 22 residential districts in Bishkek will use gas for heating, Bishkek vice mayor Mirlan Amanturov told a press briefing today.
These districts have been connected to gas supply infrastructure. These are more than 11,000 gas users. There are 47 residential districts in the capital in total.
"168,000 tons of coal were purchased last year. This year 128,000 tons will be purchased. Reduction in coal burning will help reduction of smog in Bishkek in winter time," the vice mayor said.
