Second wave of coronavirus was expected in Kyrgyzstan but its current scale was not even imagined - WHO consultant

AKIPRESS.COM - "We expected the second wave of coronavirus infection in Kyrgyzstan, but we could not even imagine its current scale," Kasymbek Mambetov, consultant of WHO Country Office in Kyrgyzstan, said.
The health care system in Kyrgyzstan is in a very difficult situation now, he said.
"400-500 new COVID-19 case are confirmed every day," he added.
Mambetov talked about work with international specialists. "The first 3 cases were confirmed on March 3. Since that day the study of the international experience in fight against coronavirus started in the country. Teams from China and Poland visited the country and provided assistance. Russia is aiding now. Every day we hold online consultations with specialists of other countries," the consultant said.
