Toktogul dam has 1.45 billion cubic meters less water than last year

AKIPRESS.COM - This year, the Toktogul dam has 1.45 billion cubic meters less water than last year, said deputy head of the National Energy Holding Abdylda Israilov. As of June 25, the volume of water in Toktogul dam was 13.37 billion cubic meters. Reservoir fills up to 19.5 billion m3 of water, he added.
"We hope to accumulate 15.5 billion cubic meters of water by the fall-winter period [2020-2021]," he said.
Tenders and contests are also being held to buy coal, gas and fuel oil, he said.
