Grain harvest campaign kicks off in Nooken district

AKIPRESS.COM - Jalal-Abad region governor Nurbolot Mirzakhmedov and Minister of Agriculture Erkinbek Choduyev gave a start to the harvest of high-yielding varieties of grain in Nooken district.
The new varieties of grains were planted on an area of 20 hectares. The yields of these wheat varieties should reach 110-120 centners per hectare. This sort of the wheat is more resistant to diseases.
This year grain was planted on 18,049 hectares, Mirzakhmedov said.
Harvesting campaign started June 15 in Nooken district. The harvest area covered over 300 hectares.
