Kyrgyz-Armenian political consultations held online

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyz-Armenian political consultations were held at the level of deputy foreign ministers on June 19 in online format. Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Azizbek Madmarov and Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan headed the delegations.
Consultations focused on a wide range of issues, including the current state and prospects for expanding cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Armenia in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The parties expressed hope for holding of the 1st meeting of the joint Intergovernmental commission on trade and economic, scientific, technical and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The parties also stressed the need for further strengthening the inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries and expanding bilateral relations in all areas of mutual interest.
In addition, the meeting participants exchanged views on further steps in bilateral cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, in particular, the UN, EAEU, CSTO, CIS and others.
The parties agreed to further coordinate efforts to counter COVID-19.
