Imports of sugar and confectionery drop by 1.8 times in 4 months

AKIPRESS.COM - The foreign trade turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic in January-April 2020 amounted to $1,753.9 million and decreased by 21.1%, according to the National Statistics Committee. Exports increased by 2.7%, while imports decreased by 31.4%.
Decrease in imports by 31.4% was due to the decrease in imports of electric machines and equipment by 2 times, chemical threads and fibers by 2 times, sugar and confectionery products made of sugar by 1.8 times.
