MP says former customs worker Emil Kimsanov beaten up in remand prison, asks authorities to step in

AKIPRESS.COM - Footage showing beating of Emil Kimsanov, a former customs employee, in the pre-trial detention facility-1 is circulating on social networks, said MP Dastan Bekeshev during the parliament session on June 17 considering the candidacy of Kubatbek Boronov for the Prime Minister. "If we don't eliminate the organized crime, then we will have this situation for forever. Organized crime gangs must respect state authority. It must not be admitted, you have to take measures," Bekeshev said.
It called government to step in and boost fight against organized crime.
"I have no information, but I think there will be a reaction from the relevant authorities," acting Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov replied.
