Uzbekistan, Switzerland sign over $4.8 million agreement on water resources management

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan's Ministry of Water Resources and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) signed agreement on the second phase of the national water resources management project.
Switzerland's Ambassador in Uzbekistan Olivier Chave and Minister of Water Resources Shavkat Hamrayev signed the agreement.
The project will improve living conditions in villages through the integrated water resources management.
In future farmers and water organizations will be able to use water resources effectively and promote innovative irrigation technologies in agriculture in the country.
The project will be realized in 2020-2024. Its budget is 4.6 million of Swiss francs (more than $4.8 million).
