70 people contract coronavirus in Osh perinatal center

AKIPRESS.COM - The staff, patients, women in labor, newborns took PCR tests due to the coronavirus outbreak in Osh perinatal center, said the Osh first vice-mayor Saibjan Turduyev at the briefing on June 16. According to him, in total 886 people, including 283 medical workers and 563 patients of the center took tests for Covid-19 diagnostics. Following PCR tests, 776 people were tested negative and 70 results came out positive.
44 patients of maternity hospital, 7 newborns and 24 medical workers were diagnosed with coronavirus. "The maternity hospital was disinfected, employees switched to the robust regime of work, the relevant anti-epidemiological measures were taken," said Turdubayev.
To date, 280 confirmed cases of coronavirus were registered in Osh city, 41 patients are under observation, 86 isolated, 188 recovered, 6 died.
