Eurasian Economic Commission board to decide on Kyrgyz-Kazakh border situation today

AKIPRESS.COM - All issues related to the Eurasian Economic Union were removed from the agenda of the previous meeting of the parliament committee due to problems on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border, MP Kanybek Imanaliyev said June 9 at a meeting of the parliament committee on international affairs. The government was instructed to carry out the negotiations within the framework of the EAEU as some 390 trucks are stranded on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border.
Economy Minister Sanzhar Mukanbetov said the Kyrgyz and Kazakh Deputy Prime Ministers met on the issue last week and discussed all issues. The board of the Eurasian Economic Commission will have a meeting today to take a decision on the border issues.
"We hope that the issue will be resolved. The EEC ministers from the Kyrgyz Republic will participate in the board meeting. We also had consultations with the EEC chairman," Mukanbetov said.
Former Economy Minister Oleg Pankratov and former State Secretary Emil Kakiev are members of the EEC from Kyrgyzstan.
