Cluster for cultivation of medicinal herbs to appear in Navoi region of Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - Cluster for cultivation and processing of medicinal herbs will be created in Navoi region of Uzbekistan, Dunyo news agency reported.
The researchers of the local branch of the National Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan will instruct local gardeners on techniques for cultivation of medicinal herbs and will monitor the process virtually and during visits to the sites.
It is planned to harvest 200 tons of Jerusalem artichoke, 15 tons of amaranth, 10 tons of sesame seeds, 5 tons of nutmeg, 4.8 tons of anise, 2.5 tons of marigold. Half of the harvest will be processed and converted into finished products.
The project will help people in rural areas to obtain additional incomes from their land plots.
