Samarkand and Surhandarya regions have highest unemployment rates in Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - The unemployment rate in Uzbekistan made 9.4% in the first quarter of 2020, according to the report by Deputy Finance Minister Dilshod Sultanov on public budget implementation for the first quarter of this year. The highest unemployment rate is reported in Samarkand and Surhandarya regions - 9.8%, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Syrdarya and Ferghana regions - 9.7%. The lowest unemployment rate is observed in Tashkent - 7.8%.
1.399 million people were registered as job seekers in the first quarter.
