AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan dispatched another batch of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan, Asia-Plus reported with reference to a source in the mayor's office.
The aid 24 tons in weight included medicines, antibiotics mainly.
Dushanbe mayor Rustam Emomali ordered respective agencies to control distribution of medicines among medical facilities in treatment of coronavirus patients.
All medicines were produced at the Uzbek-British joint venture Samarkand England Eco-Medical.
Uzbekistan earlier dispatched 18 wagons with medicines and food products to Tajikistan on April 9. The team of Uzbek virologists arrived in Tajikistan on May 8, who brought also 10 tons of medical equipment, 10 ventilators among them.
On May 9, 144 medical containers arrived in Tajikistan from Uzbekistan. They were used to make a provisional hospital at the Bofanda stadium in Dushanbe.
