Bill aimed at strengthening powers of local authorities to enhance construction of industrial zones passes first reading at parliament

AKIPRESS.COM - Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic passed the draft amendments to some legislative acts on investment support in the first reading. According to one of the authors of the bill MP Abdykhap Nurbaev, the bill is aimed at developing the country's regions, attracting investments, creating jobs for citizens of Kyrgyzstan, increasing the competence of local governments to transfer low-productive agricultural land into other categories of land, the transformation of land reserves into agricultural land.
The bill provides for strengthening the powers of local governments to boost the construction of industrial zones, water supply systems and social projects on rural areas.
