State Penitentiary Service denies 4 prison health workers contracted COVID-19

AKIPRESS.COM - The State Penitentiary Service said the information of the Ministry of Health that 4 prison health workers tested positive for COVID-19 does not correspond to reality. Four penitentiary system workers are staying at the national infectious diseases hospital. One of them was diagnosed pneumonia. The rest remain under medical observation as suspected coronavirus cases. "It is early yet to say they tested positive for COVID-19, since another PCR test will be made soon," the State Penitentiary Service said.
The State Penitentiary Service said coronavirus infection was not yet confirmed among penitentiary workers and prisoners.
