Kyrgyzstan received 219,900 PCR tests since beginning of coronavirus pandemic

AKIPRESS.COM - 219,797 PCR tests were delivered to Kyrgyzstan since the beginning of coronavirus epidemic, including 210,297 tests were delivered from Russia, China, Turkey and Belarus, said Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev on May 15.
"There are a lot of questions about the quality of PCR tests in our republic and whether it is possible to trust the results of PCR testing. Russian test systems are recommended by WHO. All arriving test systems pass quality control by three different specialists to confirm the quality," he said.
75,308 people tested for coronavirus from February 5 to May 14, including 1111 cases of COVID-19 infection were detected among them.
According to him, the detectability depends on many factors as the proper collection, storage and transportation of the samples. The epidemiological situation is under control due to the laboratory testing.
Usenbayev added that republic is fully provided with drugs. "To date, there are storage of antiviral drugs for 4,000 patients," he said.
