Uzbekistan dispatches humanitarian aid, virologists to Tajikistan

AKIPRESS.COM - The military plane with humanitarian aid will arrive in Dushanbe today as ordered by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Asia-Plus reported with reference to a source in Dushanbe mayor's office.
The aid will include 10 ventilators, medicines, protective coveralls, gloves, respirators.
Eight virologists and epidemiologists will be carried by the same plane.
They have experience in fight against coronavirus and are ready to immediately start work in the hospitals where the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan will say.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a phone conversation on May 5, when they discusssed epidemiological situation in the region and the world, briefed each other about coronavirus situation in both countries and reaffirmed readiness to take joint actions to overcome the crisis situations.
By evening of May 7, Tajikistan confirmed 461 COVID-19 cases.
