PM explains why government gave out food to the vulnerable, but not money

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Maksat Sabirov asked Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev at the parliamentary session why government decided to distribute food to the vulnerable rather than just giving them money like Kazakhstan did. The Prime Minister said they need a budget for that.
"Why did not you give out $100, why did you buy food for them? Seems like a business going on here," MP said.
PM Abilgaziyev said that such decision was taken to keep people at home, so that they did not go out to buy groceries.
