80,000-90,000 families in Bishkek to receive humanitarian aid

AKIPRESS.COM - Some 80,000-90,000 needy families will receive humanitarian aid in Bishkek in total, Balbak Tulobaev, chief of staff of the mayor's office, told a briefing today.
Around 74,000 families received food packages up to date, he said.
The government earlier provided 6,000 sacks of flour, its distribution among needy citizens was completed. The Arab foundations provided 9,600 food baskets. Food assistance to 17,000 vulnerable families was provided from the Bishkek budget. Businessmen in Bishkek handed over 20,000 food packages.
The government provided 2,560 food packages for vulnerable families. Around 30,000 food packages were provided by the government, 1,000 food pacjages were provided by the Bishkek operative team.
