AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan cannot lift quarantine until all taken tests are done and the last person who contacted with coronavirus is traced down, said Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev at a meeting of the nation-wide operative team to contain coronavirus April 11. Minimizing contacts between the people is the most effective method to contain coronavirus, he noted.
"The life and health of each person is valuable for us. Assessing the current situation with the pandemic, it is premature to talk about any easing of the quarantine regimes. It is necessary to work hard until we trace down the last person contacting with infected people. We need to be 100% sure," the prime minister said.
Since March 25, Kyrgyzstan announced a state of emergency in Bishkek, Jalal-Abad and Osh regions over coronavirus outbreak. Many economic activities, such as cafes, malls, parks, public transport, etc had to close until April 15.
Curfew and state of emergency might be extended further, officials warned earlier, as the number of infection is growing everyday. To date, Kyrgyzstan confirmed 377 cases.
