Kazakhstan reports 9th lethal case from coronavirus

AKIPRESS.COM - A first lethal case from coronavirus was registered on April 9 in Almaty, the Ministry of Health reported.
The 64-year-old COVID-19 positive patient died. That brought the country's death toll from coronavirus to 9.
The patient tested positive for covonavirus on March 16. She had chronic obstructive lung disease, chronic cardiac failure, coronary heart disease, hypertension, breast pang. She was taken to the intensive care unit on March 18. The intensive therapy was unsuccessful, Almaty public health department chief Tleukhan Abildaev said.
Kazakhstan has so far confirmed 802 coronavirus cases, including 226 in Nur-Sultan, 122 in Almaty, 104 in Kyzylorda region, 61 in Akmola region, 61 in Karaganda region, 45 in Atyrau region, 45 in Jambyl region, 34 in Turkestan region, 31 in Shymkent, 25 in North Kazakhstan region, 10 in Almaty region, 9 in Mangistau region, 6 in East Kazakhstan region, 6 in West Kazakhstan region, 3 in Kostanai region, 3 in Pavlodar region.
Sixty coronavirus patients recovered.
