Rapid tests have 30% margin of error, but used to test contacted persons - Deputy Health Minister

AKIPRESS.COM - The rapid tests have 30% margin of error, said the Deputy Health Minister Madamin Karatayev on April 10.
According to him, they are used for those patients who contacted with infected. "If rapid tests came out positive, we double test the person using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method. Basically, we use rapid tests to screen those who contacted with infected," he said.
Karatayev admitted there was a lack of PCR tests at the beginning.
"To date, we have enough tests. We will focus on PCR tests," he added.
