There is a threat that many Kyrgyzstanis in Turkic Council states will be left unemployed due to COVID-19, Jeenbekov says

AKIPRESS.COM - Because of the coronavirus pandemic, there is a threat that many of Kyrgyzstanis working on the territory of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (CCTS) member countries will be unemployed, said Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov at the Turkic Council videosummit on April 10.
"There is a threat that many of our compatriots working on the territory of the member countries of the Organization will be left without jobs because of the pandemic consequences. I would like to ask you to provide comprehensive assistance to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who find themselves in a difficult situation, and to provide them with migration benefits. Kyrgyzstan for its part is ready to support citizens of the member states of the Organisation who need help in our territory," Sooronbai Jeenbekov said.
He thanked the leaders of member states of Turkic Council - Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Turkey - for their support.
