Fourth coronavirus patient dies in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Another coronavirus patient has died in Turkestan region today. This is the fourth lethal case linked to coronavirus in the country.
The patient was 64 years old.
"The man visited visited relatives in Karasai district, Almaty region, but concealed this fact. He returned home on March 15 by bus. On March 26, he felt unwell and was taken to hospital. He was receiving treatment at the internal medicine department of the Jetysai district hospital," Turkestan region's chief sanitary inspector Nurymbet Nyshanov said.
The treatment was unsuccessful and the condition of the patient was getting worse, he said.
On March 29, the patient was taken to the infectious disease department with pneumonia and respiratory distress. The man also had diabetes.
The lab tests found the man had coronavirus. The persons who contacted with the man included 25 close relatives and 40 potential cases.
Kazakhstan has confirmed so far 500 coronavirus cases. Four patients died.
