Presidents of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan discuss epidemiological situation in border areas

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed epidemiological situation in border areas of two countries.
Relevant aspects of bilateral cooperation, the urgent actions take to prevent coronavirus infection from spread were discussed among other issues, the Uzbek president's press service reported.
A particular attention was paid to continued joint measures to minimize negative effects of the coronavirus pandemic on bilateral ties in commercial, economic, energy, transport, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.
The leaders expressed confidence the joint actions will help cope with arising difficulties and challenges, will make friendly ties and good neighborhod, strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan even stronger.
The Presidents also exchanged views on regional cooperation and international issues.
