Too soon to claim Kyrgyzstan contained coronavirus: Ministry of Health

AKIPRESS.COM - It's too soon to claim that Kyrgyzstan contained the coronavirus spread, Health Ministry spokesperson Ainura Akmatova said on March 26.
One of the journalists asked Akmatova if it's possible to say that Kyrgyzstan contained the virus, because the first case was revealed 10 days ago, then the cases rose sharply to 42, but for the last 3 days the situation has been relatively quiet.
"The number of people arriving in Kyrgyzstan from abroad is decreasing. All government agencies are taking active anti-epidemiological measures, the state of emergency has been declared, movement of citizens in the country has been reduced," she said. "All these measures help curb the further spread of virus," she said.
"It depends on each of us how quick we can contain the virus. We urge people to take the recommendations very seriously," she said.
Every citizen should be responsible now, Akmatova said.
