AKIPRESS.COM - A resident of Chui region of Kyrgystan was tested positive for coronavirus upon the arrival in Kazakhstan, Kazakh media report with reference to the head of the healthcare department of the Jambyl region of Kazakhstan Marat Jumankulov.
According to him, the patient arrived in Jambyl region from Kyrgyzstan on March 23.
"He was quarantined and tested for COVID-19. The results were positive. Later, he was hospitalized to the regional infectious diseases hospital. Currently, his condition is satisfactory. He is receiving treatment," the statement said.
13 people who contacted with him were isolated.
The head of the department for quality and safety control of goods and services of the Jambyl region Berik Jarkynbekov said that the patient is a 29-years-old resident of the Chui region and works as a driver.
