German government grants €500,000 to Kyrgyzstan to contain coronovirus

AKIPRESS.COM - The German government grants €500,000 in special funds to Kyrgyzstan for its efforts to stem coronovirus, the German embassy said on March 24.
Grant funds provided by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as part of the technical cooperation with Kyrgyzstan. The budget of the GIZ project Perinatal Health in Kyrgyzstan will be increased by a corresponding amount.
A significant part of the funds will be redirected to WHO to ensure coordinated implementation of measures under the National Emergency Action Plan and centralized procurement of relevant equipment.
The remaining funds under the GIZ project will finance buying protective means, training of medical personnel, holding awareness raising campaigns, etc.
