AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan cut all unnecessary state budget expenses such as purchase of motor vehicles and real estate, Deputy Prime Minister Erkin Asrandiyev said at a government press conference on March 23. Expenditures on equipment repair have been completely cut, business trips abroad have been cancelled, he said.
"Salaries to health care, education employees and staff of other budgetary institutions will be paid fully. Pensions will not be interrupted," he said.
The government is also seeking aid from international donors to support the budget, he said.
"Some citizens and businesses are offering aid, the Ministry of Finance has opened a special account for donations and 8,702,000 soms have already been collected there," he said.
