President Jeenbekov, Parliament Speaker, faction leaders discuss coronavirus threats and effects

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov met with Parliament Speaker Dastanbek Jumabekov, Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev and leaders of parliamentary factions to discuss coronavirus situation, the president's press service said. "The situation is under control. The Security Council made respective decisions timely that are being implemented now. A big army of health professionals are working hard to prevent coronavirus from spread. A good work was carried out to ensure economic stability. We are grateful to all those involved and wish strength to endure all hardships. Yet, there are irregularities that need to be addressed," President Jeenbekov said.
The President urged to support health professionals and those ensuring economic stability of the country day and night.
It was announced at the meeting that the population and housing census will be held one month later from April 23 to May 1.
One of the parliamentary factions announced its intent to donate their one-month salary to support health professionals.
