More than 14,000 ethnic Kyrgyz granted Kyrgyz citizenship over past 4 years

AKIPRESS.COM - More than 14,000 ethnic Kyrgyz received citizenship of Kyrgyzstan over the last 4 years, the State Registration Service said.
Due to the automated information system 'Citizenship', which was developed by Infokom state enterprise under the State Registration Service, registration of granting and withdrawal of Kyrgyz citizenship is underway.
The decree on granting Kyrgyz citizenship is signed by President Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
In 2016-2019, a total of 17,512 appeals for receiving Kyrgyz citizenship were registered, including 80% from ethnic Kyrgyz (14,001 people).
The bulk of applications was registered in 2016 - 6,003 people, the least number was registered in 2018 - 2,620 people.
8,816 people applied for withdrawal from citizenship of Kyrgyzstan in 2016-2019.
