Presidents of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan hold one-on-one meeting in Baku

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in the Republic of Azerbaijan for an official visit on Wednesday, Azerbaijan media report.
At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku decorated with the national flags of the two countries, the high-ranking Azeri officials warmly welcomed the Turkmen President.
Turkmen President headed towards the residence of the President of Azerbaijan, where he was greeted by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
An official welcome ceremony has been held for the President of Turkmenistan.
Following the ceremony, the Presidents held a one-on-one meeting. During the talks, the sides exchanged views on the prospects of the Caspian Sea, as well as on economic and transit cooperation between the two countries.
The delegation of Turkmenistan consists of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and trade, communications, transport, agriculture, migration, education and culture sectors.
A number of bilateral documents are expected to be signed in the framework of the official visit.
