108 villages at flood risk in East Kazakhstan region

AKIPRESS.COM - 108 villages of East Kazakhstan region are at risk of flooding according to the forecasts, Informburo.kz reported. A reserve budget for elimination of consequances of the emergency situation in the region is 1.8 million tenge.
Local authorities concluded an agreement with the Russian company on providing space monitoring services.
There are 609 settlements and 675 transport roads in the region. 33 of the settlements are at high risk of flooding, according to Interior Minister Yerlan Turgumbayev.
Turgumbayev told the government that the country is not fully ready for a flood period.
