Social and economic development of Karaganda region discussed

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the meeting with governor of Karaganda region was informed about social and economic development of the region, Akorda said. Zhenis Kasymbek told about the growth of production in the industrial, agricultural and construction spheres.
The President underlined the importance of providing targeted social benefits to certain categories of citizens and providing jobs to the residents.
The governor reported about modernization of tourist sector in Balkhash and Karkala districts.
Tokayev ordered to thoroughly monitor the flood situation in the region and take the necessary measures on preparation and prevention of the emergency situations.
