Annual volume of trade union fees reaches 1 billion soms - Lawmaker

AKIPRESS.COM - The parliamentary commission for studying the execution of law on trade unions held a session on Feb 24. The commission chairman - MP Tabaldy Tillayev noted that following the results of the first session the commission send requests to law enforcement agencies to receive information on the progress of investigation against the authorities of Kyrgyz trade unions federation.
According to him, to date General Prosecutor's office replied to the request.
Tillayev emphasized the numerous facts of damage to the budget and property of the federation and noted that the annual volume of trade unions fees reached 1 billion soms, including Education Ministry and its subdivisions allocate about 223 million soms and Health Ministry - 178 million soms.
MP Kojobek Ryspayev noted that the commission was established due to the emerging corrupt practices, which involved the authorities of the trade unions.
Lawmaker noted the insufficiency of measures taken by the law enforcement agencies, inactivity of certain officers and called on to activate the work of the investigation.
