Tramways to be launched in Almaty for tourists

AKIPRESS.COM - Tramways will not be resumed in Almaty, mayor Bakytzhan Sagintayev said at the meeting with residents. However, the issue of launching tourist tramways is being considered today, according to him.
Tramways were eliminated in Almaty in 2015 after two major accidents. A special commission revealed a lot of shortcomings in the tramway depot. In late December 2019, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said the issue of elimination of tramways was disputable.
